"There is no human nature, only nature. Life works through symbiosis. When we take care of the natural world, we also take care of ourselves, our families, and our communities. When As we wake up to this awareness of ourselves as nature, we realize that when we heal our planet, we heal ourselves - and when we heal ourselves, we heal the earth."
With this in mind, Neu Nomads created an ethical brand committed to sustainability and traceability. This mindfulness and devotion to their values extends from the fabrics to the factories to the packaging and finally to the products. All considered.
The signature botanicals of Neu Nomads are derived from sustainable and renewable natural resources and are naturally lightweight, breathable and washable.
BIODEGRADABLE & NATURAL FIBERS
The signature botanicals are derived from sustainable and renewable natural resources and are inherently lightweight, breathable and washable. Satin TENCEL™: The signature fabric known for its luxurious softness and breathability. This natural textile is derived from wood pulp and responsibly manufactured using energy and water saving methods. The fibers are purchased exclusively from LENZING Austria.
Eco-Jersey: The sustainably manufactured knitted capsule made of 80% organic cotton and 20% SeaCell™ is made in the EU and is GOTS+OEKO-certified. SeaCell™ is a luxurious, silky fiber made from seaweed and eucalyptus fibers and is manufactured using an innovative, closed-loop production process that leaves no chemical waste. The factory is an official member of the Greenpeace DETOX campaign - making it one of the few vertically integrated manufacturing companies in the world to have met Greenpeace's stringent requirements.
Linen: One of the most environmentally friendly textiles in the world, it only needs to be washed with rainwater. New Nomads linen is incredibly soft, durable and responsibly sourced and manufactured within the EU.
New Nomads works with a state-of-the-art dye factory in Rajasthan, India that adheres to the highest environmental and social standards. The factory runs on solar energy and excess energy is given back to the local community. The water used for dyeing is collected in reservoirs from the monsoon rains and then purified and processed with non-toxic and AZO-free dyes. Almost 90% of the water used in the dyeing process is reused in a shared waste water treatment plant. The promotion of the industrial park was made possible by grants in cooperation with the UN and the European Commission through the SWITCH Asia initiative.
