      Beachwear by Pitusa

Pitusa means funny little girl in Spanish - and is the nickname of designer Clara Lago. And as fun-loving as the designer was as a child, the colourful, playful designs by the US label are just as fun.

      Beachwear at the highest level
On the beach we prefer to wear loose mini dresses or light, airy kaftans - designer Clara Lago felt the same way. And that's why the designer with Spanish roots founded her label Pitusa (pronounced pee-too-sah) in Miami, Florida in 2010 with the aim of creating high-quality, comfortable and affordable beachwear. And that's her with the plain-colored mini dresses with bobbles, colorful borders or other playful details in the boho style, she really succeeded! The dresses, kaftans or jumpsuits are made of pure cotton or modal and ensure wonderful wearing comfort on the skin. That makes them real beach essentials!

Casual boho chic, combined with positive ethno vibes and a lot of love for detail - that is Pitusa's fashion formula. When you see the bright colors of resort wear, you can't help but dig out your suitcase and get ready for the next trip in the sun. After all, the onesies and casual oversize dresses with flounces are far too beautiful to just eke out an existence in the closet.

      International fashion mix for jet-setters
Designer Clara Lago is half Spanish herself , half-English and at home on the beaches of the world. She went to the USA to study, specifically to Miami on the white beaches of Florida. No wonder she developed a soft spot for casual beachwear. It was here that she started her label with a few thousand dollars and a lot of positive energy - Pitusa has now grown into a multi-million dollar company offering clothing in over 300 stores around the world. Inspirational entrepreneur Clara Lago lives in Miami with her husband and son. Pitusa is known for her vibrant color palettes and ultra-soft fabrics.

Clara Lago draws inspiration for her designs from the uniqueness of different cultures. Pitusa's ethno look is reminiscent of the Inca or traditional robes of indigenous peoples. A border in characteristic folklore colors and patterns adorns plain-colored dresses - that is Pitusa's key look. Pitusa founder Clara Lago aims to create clothing that empowers women while offering a carefree aesthetic that can be worn on the beach or on the street paired with biker boots and a leather jacket.

      Finest fabrics and fair production
The garments are made from the finest Peruvian and Indian cotton. Pitusa mainly has her fashion pieces made by women-owned ateliers in Peru, Bali and India. "Made in India" becomes a sign of quality here. All garments are made under ethical and fair working conditions.

Pitusa opened its first flagship store in September 2018 in Wynwood, Miami, where the label is also based. In addition to the Beach Essentials and a unisex collection, Pitusa also has a cute children's collection consisting of colorful cheetah print bodies or cute little dresses for the mini-me look. Unusual accessories such as animal-shaped basket bags and colorful sandals complete the Pitusa beach look. At Marin & Milou you can buy exquisite it-pieces from the collection online.
